The first year, the pageant was a small group of Bethany people who wanted to give a gift to our community by presenting the Christmas story as a live play with a few dozen actors and a donkey. It was a success. A couple hundred people came, the story was presented well, it worked. Each year, more and more people heard about the pageant and came out to see it. We needed to keep expanding our outdoor facilities, capacities etc. We needed help in order to keep up and have the pageant remain a free gift to our community. Our many, many sponsors are very much appreciated. It is because of them, the hard work of our approximately 350 volunteers and God's Blessings that the pageant continues to be successful and has grown to the quality event that it is today.
